Nothing to do with Registry.  It's seeking out and finding all the related files.
But, as I said before... if they can't figure out how to fix the problem, they should have never installed the pirating software in the first place.

Whether it does or it does not (read the technical specs on the later versions - it's been eons since this subject last came up) consider the mean IQ of the people on this list for a moment - people who are not in positions to be able to manage the list/server/etc. - and ask yourself: do you really think it's a good idea to tell people who can barely find their start button and can't read an unsub message at the end of an e-mail to go nosing around in the registry for ANY reason? I know my way around Windows and I still type "regedit" with all due fear and respect....and I make sure I've backed up my registry FIRST.

To all you software and Music Pirates:

KaZaA is placing a lot of extra junk on your computer, that essentially turns you into another company's tool.
Since you agreed to have these "Trojans" when you installed KaZaA (remember that popup license agreement that you probably never really read?), this will not read as a virus... but can cause just as much problems as one.
This is confirmed, as I just helped 3 people "de-Trojan" their computers after discovering that they were pawns to KaZaA's hidden installations.  If you find that you are "infected" by this, and don't know how to get it off... well, I guess you should have never used KaZaA in the first place, huh?

That'll teach ya to share things illegally.  =P
